Rare Assembly is a Los Angeles-based creative agency specializing in branded corporate gifts and premium merchandise. They transform ordinary business interactions into memorable moments through thoughtfully curated gifts and expertly crafted brand experiences.
Rare Assembly needed to evolve from a traditional corporate gifting vendor into a premium creative partner. Their existing brand identity didn't reflect their elevated approach to experiential marketing or their ability to create luxury brand moments that truly connect with recipients.
They required a sophisticated new visual identity, compelling brand narrative, and a modern e-commerce platform that could showcase their creative process while supporting their growing client roster of Fortune 500 companies and innovative startups.
Core brand idea is “More than a gift. A statement”. The Rare Assembly logotype reflects the signature touch. The elegant letterforms balance creative flair with professional authority, suggesting both the personal touch of handcrafted experiences and the reliability clients expect from a premium partner.
Confident yet approachable, sophisticated without being pretentious. Rare Assembly speaks with creative authority while maintaining warmth and accessibility. Their voice is direct and clear, challenging the status quo of corporate gifting with an essence that goes beyond the ordinary.
The custom hand-drawn calligraphy was created by our experienced lettering artist to capture Rare Assembly's artisanal essence. These flowing, organic letterforms provide a counterpoint to the structured wordmark, emphasizing the human touch and craftsmanship that defines their approach. The calligraphy serves as a versatile brand element for special occasions, luxury packaging, and moments that call for a more personal, intimate expression of the brand.
The DaVinci typeface serves as Rare Assembly's brand font for headings and important messages. Its elegant serif letterforms strike the perfect balance between sophistication and approachability, directly supporting the "beyond the ordinary" brand essence.
Rare Assembly's photography captures the richness of real life — tactile, emotional, sometimes playful, always human. Our gifts aren't just beautiful, they're useful, thoughtful, and made to fit effortlessly into people's daily lives. The photography style moves beyond sterile product shots to show items in authentic contexts, emphasizing how they enhance everyday moments and strengthen connections between people
We designed a comprehensive 10-page website that guides visitors from initial discovery through project completion. The purpose of the website extends beyond converting leads to customers — it transfers the brand idea that these are more than just gifts, they're statements.
We prepared all design files along with responsive versions for the developer, ensuring pixel-perfect execution across all devices. Following development, we provided thorough design review to maintain quality and brand consistency throughout the user experience.
We developed a flexible presentation system that allows the Rare Assembly team to create polished, brand-consistent proposals quickly. The modular design accommodates different project types while maintaining visual excellence.
We created comprehensive brand guidelines that serve as both inspiration and practical toolkit. These guidelines reveal the design system's logic, empowering the team to apply the brand consistently while allowing for creative evolution as the company grows.
The new brand identity and website give Rare Assembly everything they need to show up as the creative partner they truly are. The visual system and messaging help them tell their "beyond the ordinary" story in a way that actually feels genuine. The website creates an experience that matches the care and quality they put into every project.
